Leaderboard
How the leaderboard works
What each column means
- #
- Rank. Sorted by Elo unless you tap another column header.
- GP
- Games played.
- W / L
- Wins and losses.
- Win%
- Wins ÷ games played.
- +/−
- Your team's point difference, added up over every game. Win 12–8 and everyone on your team gets +4; lose 12–8 and you get −4.
- +/− per
- +/− ÷ games played. Fairer for comparing, since some people play more.
- Elo
- Your rating. Everyone starts at 1500, goes up with wins and down with losses. Beating a better team or winning by a lot earns more (details below).
- Last 5
- Your last 5 games, win or loss.
- 30 days
- Counts only the last 30 days. The small number next to Elo is how much it moved this month.
How Elo is calculated
Everyone starts at 1500. Before each game, each team's strength is the average rating of its five players, which gives a win probability.
After the game, every player on the winning team gains the same points and every player on the losing team loses them. Beating a stronger team earns more. Winning by more earns more: the swing is multiplied by 1 + (margin ÷ game target), so a 12–2 win counts about 1.8× and a 12–11 win about 1.1×. Timed games (15-minute clock on big nights) use the same target, so a 9–8 win when time runs out counts like any 1-point win.
Base swing (K) is 32. Players in their first 10 games use K = 48 so new players find their level faster. Signed-up players show in the rankings after 5 games, as long as they have played in the last 60 days. Until then they are listed under the table as not ranked yet. Your rating is kept while you're away.
Guests who haven't signed up still get a rating so every game counts correctly. They only appear in the rankings and awards once they sign up. A guest logged without a name counts as an average 1500 player for that game only. When a guest signs up with the same name, their games carry over.
